"Surviving Christmas As A Pagan"...a brand new e-book to help Pagans cope with the stressful holiday season!
Hello and Merry Meet!My name is Dianne DeSha, and I was called to a Pagan path at age twelve — years before I would have any understanding of what that really meant. And grew up celebrating Christmas with my family, just like most American kids do.But when I started exploring my own Pagan path nearly a decade later, I felt compelled to abandon this “Christ’s Mass” — this holiday of a religion I blamed for attempting to destroy all Pagan traditions. But Christmas was still a cherished part of my childhood, of my memories, of my feelings. I didn’t want to give it up! But how could I keep it without being a traitor to my own beliefs, or a parasite on someone else’s? This contradiction was a source of personal conflict and struggle for me for a long, painful time. I prayed, I studied, I talked to others. And ultimately, I found a surprisingly simple peace. Now, from the perspective of yet another decade as a Pagan in Christmas-obsessed America, I want to offer some help to those facing the same struggle I faced.
Mind you, this is not just some slapped-together list of weblinks or recycled platitudes! This full-fledged book contains history, thought-provoking exercises, and practical strategies to help you learn to reclaim the holiday season for yourself. I have worked hard to give you all the benefit of decades experience and learning the hard way. I may be Pagan, but I glory in the wonder of the holiday season... and you can too! Whatever your background, whichever your Pagan path — follow me in reclaiming the peace and joy of the holiday season for yourself. Blessed Be!
